La Dinette Montréal-est: Forget the Usual Eggs & Bacon

Amanda Di Pancrazio October 8, 2015

My favourite meal of the day? Hands down, breakfast. Whenever I can, I have breakfast in the morning, at noon and at night. Why? Because I'm a grown up and I can.

While I'm a fan of a good old fashioned dish of eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausages, potatoes, beans, etc., etc., I also enjoy the occasional out-of-the-norm breakfast extravaganza.

Bar à Beurre: The Classics Reinvented (and how to keep an 9-year-old entertained)

Amanda Di Pancrazio June 25, 2015

Oh, hi! I'm back and this is (literally) my first real full day off in forever.

I've been on a little bakery bender lately - not intentionally, I've just been finding myself in  and around bakeries all over the city these days (This is me living life on the wild side.)

Last weekend, I spent my Saturday with my 9-year old cousin. He's an awesome kid who happens to think I'm super cool, which makes me like him a whole lot more. We got to the metro where I discovered that my cousin had never ridden the metro before and was pretty concerned about the speeds at which we would be travelling. BF and I put all those fears to rest by ridiculing the situation with exaggerated scenarios of how our "trip" could go horribly wrong. The kid may or may not have found it funny.

Confessions of a Macaron Addict: Boutique Point G

Amanda Di Pancrazio May 15, 2015

Before I begin, let's be clear that I'm talking about macarons. They're those adorable - often colourful - treats seen in the photo above, not to be mistaken with the coconutty nasty "treat" known as the macaroon. Cause who the hell would write about macaroons?

The King Lives - and he makes the best tacos in town

Amanda Di Pancrazio April 26, 2015

It's no secret - I love Mexican food. And I absolutely loathe what most people believe is Mexican food. Let's get real here: 3 Amigos is not Mexican food: it's tex mex. If we all got a taste of the real deal, we'd all be hooked and we'd all be a bunch of jumbo-sized oompa loompas. Totally worth it.
